Reproductions of employment contracts for John G. Palmer and Eben J. Quigley

File contains reproductions of 3 employee contracts. The first, originally dated August 9, 1899, details the employment contract between John G. Palmer and Eastman Kodak Company. John G. Palmer became the treasurer of Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd., in 1899 and the company's first president in 1918. The latter two contracts, originally dated October 13, 1917 and January 1, 1923, detail the employment contract made between photographic emulsion maker, Eben J. Quigley, and Eastman Kodak Company.

Records pertaining to employee activities

Sub-series consists of records pertaining to the activities of Kodak employees from 1916 to 2001. To a significant extent, Kodak Canada imported the corporate culture created by George Eastman at Eastman Kodak Company. This culture encouraged and supported employee participation in collective leisure activities, including participation in athletic and cultural clubs and events. Sub-series includes records pertaining to employee involvement in WWI and WWII, employee recognition events and annual meetings, and employee leisure and athletic activities.

Recordak Ltd. account ledger

Item is a halfbound manuscript ledger containing general accounting records for Recordak Ltd. from January 31, 1934 to December 25, 1943. Recordak Corporation, a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Co. since 1928, was the first producer of microfilm systems. Recordak Ltd., a subsidiary of Recordak Corporation, was established in Canada in 1928.

Sub-series contains records from 1904 to 1966 detailing recipes, instructions and procedures pertaining to the creation or repair of Kodak products, as well as reports stemming from photographic chemical research produced by Kodak and by external authors. Sub-series includes: recipes and instructions for producing photographic chemicals, papers, emulsions, dyes, and other materials; standard practices used in paper coating and emulsion; daily production logbooks; paper production stock records; and records detailing equipment and procedures used to repair Kodak products.

Thank you for this Kodak moment

Item consists of four identical posters, two in French and two in English. The poster features black and white images of a letter from the president of Kodak Canada Inc. celebrating the success of their manufacturing and supply operations, a Kodacolor roll of film, and of six Kodak employees. Writing at the bottom of the poster describes the accomplishments of the Kodak team and thanks them for their great performance in 1992.

Item conists of a poster board featuring an image of a pixelated eye on a support that has escaped from it's frame. From the eye, a lazer of light shoots through an image on a developed roll of film, which is also escaping the same picture frame as the eye.

Item consists of a board, landscape poster featuring an image of a man and a boy standing in front of a tent and behind a camera. The man is covered by the camera blanket as he prepares his photograph, while the boy stands behind, holding a plate holder.

Hughy

Item consists of a black poster featuring a printed page written by a friend about a man named Hughy, and his hospital experiences adhered to the poster board. To the right of the page are adhered a photograph and a matching negative featuring an image of Hughy sitting in a three-wheeled vehicle. Beneath the photographic images is a short text stating that the images were made to resemble those made with a 1938 Kodak. Appears to be made for Kodak Museum display, to acompany one of the cameras, which was used to create the images on the poster.
