Ryerson has been host to many Chinese scholars studying in Canada under the CIDA/World University Service of Canada Canada-China Human Resources Development Program. These scholars are young professionals working for major government ministries and state corporations. Each undertakes a 9/12-month program under RIDC supervision. Most participants spend a 3-month period in an industrial/commercial placement.

Sign that formerly served as demarcation of the Library Arts Laboratory. Sign is made of metal with black lettering.

Originally housed in two 3 x 5 card file boxes containing black and white, and colour photographs of Library Arts 1st year students and graduates. The first year student photos were taken at the beginning of the school year to assist the instructors in identifying their students. The program was phased out of the Spring of 1983.

Major Alex S. O'Hara had an extensize background in public health and sanitary inspection when in 1952 he organized and became the first director of the Ontario Sanitary Inspectors' Training course that was initially run through Ryerson and in 1963 would be taken over by Ryerson from under the Department of Public Health.

The file contains a transcript of President Donald Mordell's speech about Alex O'Hara at the June 2, 1978 convocation ceremony. Alex O'Hara presented the graduates with their certificates at that ceremony. Also in the file is a mini-biography of Alex O'Hara and a memo from Public Health Inspection Chairman Ron de Burger to Jim Peters.

Various Board of Governors board meetings recorded on audio cassettes and reel to reel audio.

Framed certificate awarded to Hugh Macaulay in appreciation for his work on the Board of Governors.

A collection of technological equipment consisting of: Decade Resistance, Spot Glavemeter, Fluxmeter, Demonstration Generator, Precision Wavemeter, Short-Wave Set (Wireless Apparatus) and a Demonstration Short Wave Apparatus. number of the items were used at the Training & Re-establishment Institute (1945-1948) where trades training was offered to returning World War II veterans re-entering the workforce.Although some of the equipment was used only for class demonstrations, other equipment was actually used by physics students in their labs, up until the time it was transferred to the Archives.

File contains 1 Multirange Fluxmeter Model FM (range 10 maxwells per division to 50,000,000 Maxwells Full Scale.) , a piece of scientific equipment used to measure magnetic fields.

One large base with smaller pieces that attach to assemble the apparatus. Included is an explanation booklet.

Oversized model slide rule created to hang in the classroom as a prop. Photographs of the slide rule in the classroom can be found in RG 95.1.

Included in the plan are individual academic plans for each School (Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Office and Administrative Studies) submitted by their chairmen - S. Hulbert, B, Patterson, and P. Williams. Copies of the draft were also submitted to the other members of the APG as well.

2 copies of "The Toronto Normal School 1847-1897 Jubliee Report. Report contains information on the celebrations held October 31 - November 2, 1897; biographical sketches, graduate and faculty lists and other information.

Twelve portrait photographs have tiny holes in the upper corners through which the photos were threaded with a fine thread. All but one image is either annotated with the sitter's name or signed by the sitter. These would have been shared amongst the class of '24 as momentoes. The tiny photographs on page 3 of the photo album pages maybe smaller versions of shared portraits. These portraits include :
