On the back of the photograph is handwritten in pen "Une Voyage Commence" which is French, and translates to "a trip / journey begins".

Item is a contact sheet featuring portraits of an unknown man, presumably a Kodak employee.

File contains records created in the production and publication of promotional photographs. Documents include: image captions for photographs of individuals, products, and war-related munitions work; picture files for photographs for the 1962 annual report; correspondence with external individuals requesting usage rights; correspondence regarding the Kodak commemorative stamp photographs, product images, and Kodak Ltd.'s coronation photographs; and photography release forms. Most records in file were unfortunately divorced from their accompanying photographs at some point during their life cycle.

File contains press releases and press kits prepared by Eastman Kodak Company communications department between 1976 and 1989. Most press releases pertain to Kodak products and provide tips on various forms of photography and subject matter. However, some releases pertain to events in Kodak's corporate history, such as corporate anniversaries. Eastman Kodak's Corporte Information department changed its name to Corporate Communicatons in 1979 and then to Communications and Public Affairs between 1983 and 1987.

Item is a cardboard boxed filled with 54 stereoscopic images. Item comes with one handheld, compact, metal accordion fold black stereoscope. This object was used to view two nearly identical photographs, or stereographs, as one three dimensional image. The stereograph would be placed in the sliding card holder and adjusted to fit the user's vision until the two images overlap to mimic a three-dimensional effect. Images are vernacular photographs sent to A.P. Manners Ltd. to develop, print, and then return images to photographers. Written by previous owners on a small yellow post-it-note : recoverying from W.W. II English Military Sectary.

File contains auction catalogs from various companies featuring photographs, photo-books and photographic technology.

This collection consists of photographic films, papers and chemicals used by various individuals for amateur or professional purposes. The collection also includes camera accessories, flash equipment, various lenses, exposure meters (light meters) and equpiment used for darkroom processing and printing. This is a growing collection, created to help preserve the materials used for analogue photographic developing, printing and enlarging.

Items are dry plate negatives covering a wide variety of focuses, including group pictures, horses, buildings and railways

One cardboard box meant for holding dry plates manufactured by the Canadian Kodak Co. Originally came with instructions inside the package. Contained one dozen plates measuring 4 x 5 inches.
The Gelatin or Dry Plate photographic process was invented in 1871 by Dr. Richard L Maddox. This involved the coating of glass photographic plates with a light sensitive gelatin emulsion and allowing them to dry prior to use. This made for a much more practical process than the wet plate process as the plate could be transported, exposed and then processed at a later date rather than having to coat, expose and process the plate in one sitting. The gelatin dry plate process technique was developed and eventually led to the roll film process.

Item is a dry plate negative depicting 9 adults and children posing during a tug of war game.

Item is an automatic coloured magic lantern slide containing several hand painted glass slides that could be rotated against each other with a small attached hand crank. Hand crank appears to be made of wood, as does the mount.

Collection consists of an automatic photobooth, and material related to its original function. Designed by David McCowan and patented on May 21, 1929. The collection includes vintage articles and advertisements, photographs of the booth and members of the McCowan family, the booth itself, along with related accessories.

File contains digital reproductions of vintage and current articles featuring the Phototeria.

Item consists of 25 photographs of Peter McCowan, son of the Phototeria inventor David A. McCowan, with various accessories from the booth. These include a portrait of Peter McCowan taken in the Phototeria, a lens, an instruction plate, and a crate that was used to store unexposed photographic discs used in the booth.

The cathedral photographs have both been written on verso in pencil "Canterbury Cathedral," and individually in ink, "Presbytery and Archbishop Bourchier's Tomb" and "Effigy of the Black Prince from his Tomb."

She holds a fur muff in her right hand, and rest her gloved left on the top of an elaborate metal gate. The scene appears indoors despite a blanket of grass beneath her feet. She wears a flat, straw hat.

Cream card with embossed text at bottom, "Gillespie" within a decorative artist's palette and brushes design, and "New Castle, Pa." The photograph is a full length portrait of a young boy standing on a chair piled with furs. He wears a dark jacket with high lace cuffs and wide, square collar toward the back (visible on the right shoulder) and an ascot tie. Instead of cropped trousers, he wears a skirt. A muffin-shaped hat is on his head.

Item is a cream cabinet card with gold letterpress at bottom, "Fenner" and at right, "GALLIPOLIS. O." In between, decoration with 3 letters intertwined, "W" "J" "F". Photograph is a full length view of a young girl, probably about 2 years old, seated in a blanketed chair holding a doll in her hands. On verso, elaborate border design surrounding the text "FROM THE/ PHOTOGRAPHIC/ STUDIO/ OF/ W. J. FENNER/ ART/ PHOTOGRAPHER/ GALLIPOLIS. O." The word "art" is contained inside a drawing of an artist's palette and brushes. At the upper right, handwritten in black ink, "5.00/ D42".

Item is a cream cabinet card with gold letterpress, partially obscured by the photograph which is pasted on top, sideways. "Van Aken/ ELMIRA, N.Y." with a decoration with letters "V" and "A" intertwined. Photograph shows two individual circular portraits of a man and a woman. Handwritten in ink at the base of the woman's portrait is "1851" and the man's, "1850". Given the style of dress and hair, this is probably the date of the original picture and not a birth or death date. On verso, an elaborate border and design with griffon and foliage, with the text "E.M. On verso, in black ink, "POST CARD/ BRITISH MADE" and a line dividing two sections for "Correspondence" and "Address". At the far left, printed sideways, "Kestin Photographer Skipton".

Woman wears a dress belted at the waist with a ribbon in her hair. Man wears a suit and tie and thick beard. On verso, stamped in blue ink, "Wills & Bryant,/ PHOTOGRAPHERS,/ WOODSTOCK,/ ONTARIO."

Item is a pink card with photograph of a woman in striped blouse and white scarf. The image has an oval shape, visible at the corners of the photograph, but the photograph has been cropped in. It was probably meant for a larger, possibly cabinet card mount, but the woman's style of dress is still close in date to the mount style, about mid-1880s.
