Faculty of Business Strategic Academic Plan draft 1989/90

File contains a copy of the draft 1989-1990 Faculty of Business Strategic Academic Plan submitted by Dean of Business Timothy Reid to Vice-President Academic Terry Grier for the APG (Academic Planning Group) meeting held June 22-23, 1988. Included in the plan are individual academic plans for each School (Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Office and Administrative Studies) submitted by their chairmen - S. Hulbert, B, Patterson, and P. Williams. Copies of the draft were also submitted to the other members of the APG as well.

Harvey Curry's Toronto Normal School classmates' portrait images

Twelve portrait photographs have tiny holes in the upper corners through which the photos were threaded with a fine thread. All but one image is either annotated with the sitter's name or signed by the sitter. These would have been shared amongst the class of '24 as momentoes. The tiny photographs on page 3 of the photo album pages maybe smaller versions of shared portraits. These portraits include :

Foundations and applications of general systems theory with a focus on science education

One copy of the published proceedings of meeting of the International Society for General Systems Research - Canadian Division and North East United States Region held in Toronto at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute on May 20-2, 1987 with post-conference workshops held May 22. This was the first Canadian Conference. Helmut Burkhardt was the editor of the publication, which was printed at Ryerson, and also contributed papers to the publication.

File contains agenda, minutes and notes related to the Ryerson Energy Centre executive committee meetings held in 1980. Also included in the file are an Energy Centre brochure, and a brochure for the TOTEM (Total Energy Module) cogenerator.

Oak filing cabinets

Originally used in the Department of Education offices, the three oak filing cabinets are various sizes. One is a standard single cabinet, one is double, and one has narrow drawers.

Summer at Ryerson slide show

Integration of Day and Evening studies working file

File, compiled by Dean of Arts contains correspondence, reports, meeting minutes and accompanying material related to the integration of Evening Studies classes with Day school classes. Included are reports and minutes from meetings of the Vice-President Academic's Part-Time Learning committee.
The outcome of this process was that day school students could take courses at night that would count towards their degrees, Part-time learners could earn credits towards a certificate or diploma, and the Division of Continuing Education was created - headed by a Dean.
