Framed scroll presented to Howard Kerr at Ryerson's decennial banquet. The contents of the scroll as follows:
Howard Hillen Kerr
February 20,1959
For ten fruitful years we have together watched the Ryerson Institute of Technology grow in fame and function. Together we have bent our efforts to the achievement of a new and worthy aim in Canadian education.
In the accomplishment of this purpose, one vital factor has been outstanding: your firm and devoted guiding hand, which has done so much to establish the Ryerson name in our country.
This scroll, presented on the occasion of Ryerson's decennial banquet, constitutes the testimonial of faculty and staff to your unfailing dedication and courage, often in the face of criticism and adversity, to a purpose in which we share a united interest and faith.
While these few words express our tribute, the new Ryerson Institute will long remain the more monumental evidence of your achievement.
