The Elisabeth Flaws scholarship was available to alumnae members who are actively involved in the affairs of the Association and are taking post graduate studies in nursing at the degree level. The Elsie K. Jones fund was available to registered nurses on staff at the Wellesley for a minimum of one year and are taking short term course in graduate studies. This fund required a one year service commitment to the Wellesley are completing the course.

Each event was aimed at the faculty of a particular TMU school or faculty, but all teaching staff were welcome. A buffet lunch was often included.

This file contains information on a few learning and teaching conferences offered to Ryerson faculty. These include one live video conference via satellite, continuing education, developing teaching portfolios, and innovative learning.
The contents of the file include material from three conferences :
1997 - A review by a Ryerson faculty member on their experience of the 17th annual Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) conference in Regina.
2010 - Jointly hosted in Toronto by Ryerson and the Ontario College of Art and Design. Most of the material in the file is for this conference. The title of this year's conference, "Creative Teaching and Learning - Exploring. Shaping. Knowing.
2011 - Consists of a booklet with the call for nominations and how-to instructions for possible winners of the awards for excellence in teaching.
The faculty conference was known as the Annual Workshops (see RG 574.2) until 1999 when, in keeping with common usage and references, the name was changed to the "Annual Ryerson Faculty Conference."
As of 2002, the Ryerson affiliate GREET became the Learning and Teaching Office and Judy Britnell of GREET became the director. The acronyms GREET and SRC were dropped in connection with the faculty conference and the name changed to "May Faculty Conference" or the "Ryerson May Conference" and finally to the "Ryerson Faculty Conference." With these 2002 changes, the faculty conference material has been arranged in the Learning and Teaching Office group.
