On verso, the words "POST CARD" are printed sideways with a dividing line for address and correspondence. A small design at upper right indicates where to place postage.

Item is an unmounted tintype is a photograph of a photograph of an older couple. Original photograph is in a decorative frame/case (daguerreotype or ambrotype?), and it is a studio portrait of a man and woman, sitting side by side, looking straight out at the camera, hands folded in lap. Woman wears a white bonnet and checked dress. Clothing of sitters suggest that original photograph dates from the 1850s. Handwriting on the back in pencil, not able to decipher.

Item is an unmounted portrait of a man seated and a woman standing with her left arm resting on back of his chair. There is a table in front of her, beside him with a book on it. She also holds a book, that is resting on the table. She wears a hat and shirtwaist with buttons, the sleeves are puffy which are in keeping with fashion of the 1890s. She wears a brooch at her neck. He is sitting with his legs crossed, his body rurned away from the camera, but his face looking right at camera. He holds a scroll in his hand, and wears a sash of somesort across his chest. He looks very pleased with himself. Both their cheeks are tinted pink. Top corners angled off, and bottom edge is curved.

Item is an unmounted group portrait of four men and one woman sitting in a car. It is believed to be a Ford Model A car dating from 1903 which is how the photograph is dated. All four men are wearing bowlers hats, and suits with jackets and ties. Woman is wearing a large hat with flowers. Man behind wheel and another in backseat both have mustaches. Studio backdrop. Black band across top of image.

Item is an unmounted studio portrait of a woman in a black dress standing against a plain background. She has a pin at her throat, and a white collar is visible under her black coat. Hair tied back with soft bangs is in keeping with the fashion of the 1880s. Her hands are held together in front, in black gloves. She is shown from the waist up.

Item is an uunmounted studio portrait of three women. One is standing, one is perched on a stool, and one is sitting on the ground. All three have hats, two are wearing them, and one is holding it in her hands. All wear black dresses, two have purses. There's an umbrella leaning on stool. Cheeks are tinted pink. Given their clothing perhaps they are in mourning. All four corners are angled off.

The woman is wearing a dress with layers in fashion during the 1870s. Her hair is tight curls fringing her head in fashion after 1876. The studio backdrop is of an interior. The man's feet are crossed. A book rests on the table. All four corners are angled off.

Cream card-frame with red vignetting and details. Backing is pink cardboard that folds out, and looks like it is the page of an album. Tintype is a group portrait of seven young women, four sitting and three standing. All the women have white bow in their hair and white lace collars that date this photograph from the 1880s. Studio backdrop used, and you can see where it ends up top. Perhaps this is a class photograph, as they are similarly dressed. Or possibly housemaids?

Item is a grey and green mottled-pattern bi-fold card with, art nouveu floral design embossed into the upper left corner of the front flap. On the front of the right flap is embossed the name of the photographer: "Craswell/ Charlottetown, P.E.I." Inside, a photograph of a woman with a short haircut. The image is very dark, causing the rest of her body to be obscured. On the inside of the left flap, a handwritten note gives her name and the date.

Reddish-brown leather cover with gold embossing that reads Photographs. Notations in black ink. Black construction paper-like pages. Many of the last pages are left blank. Some photographs are missing or have been removed. Many images significantly faded. Cover and pages are warped - almost as if they were wet and dried.

Notation on inside end page reads "Miss M. E. Thompson / August [?]th 1901 / Baby's Photos".

Photographs depict primarily family and mothers with children. Some also show plays being put on in a yard by the family, farms, and archery. They are all family snapshots taken mostly around the home.
Themes include: archery, dogs, cows, drama, family and children's portraits.

Women gathered around fair tent

Item is a photograph mounted on beige card with dark brown borders and the text embossed sideways at the left, "Forsythe/ DUNDAS, ONT." Photograph shows a large group of women gathered around and in a wooden fair stall with fabric tented ceiling. On the front of the stall, a small banner with the words "United/ Calm and Resolute", the words of the King of England in 1914 upon hearing of Germany's invasion of Brussels. There are British flags decorating the stall in the park.

Black paper around glass edges. Heavily painted. Image is of four women sitting on a bench, outside a house. One woman is smoking a pipe. They are all looking the same way, as though watching something "off screen."

Item consists of a black and white photograph of a woman in a hat and sunglasses petting a goat. The goat is wearing a collar and there is a large tree in the mid-ground. It appears to be summertime. There is a 0.5 cm white border surrounding the image. The back of the photographed is stamped in blue ink "8070".

Item consists of a sepiatone image of a woman and two girls sitting in the roots of a felled tree. The woman is wearing a coat and a hat with a broach and a long scarf. The girl in the foreground wears a black hat and a coat. A second girl peeks out from a hole in the roots in the midground of the photograph. There is a white boarder surrounding the image. The back of the photographed is stamped with the numbers "0480" in blue ink. The photo was printed on Velox photographic paper, invented by Leo Baekeland and sold to Eastman Kodak. Velox was the first commercially successful photo paper.

[Women on a Hill in San Francisco]

Item consists of a black and white photograph of two women laying on a hill in front of the city of San Francisco. The Golden Gate Bridge is visible in the background on the right. There is a large tree to the left of them. One woman is wearing a blazer and a scarf and has her eyes closed. The other woman is looking to the right and has a cigarette in her hand. There is a large 1.25 cm white border around the image.

Item consists of a black and white photograph of a woman posing with a dog. The woman is wearing a white dress, stripped stockings, a headband and boots. She is putting her face next to the dog's, who has its tongue out. They are sitting on the front porch of a house. There appears to be a slight light leak coming from the left side of the frame. There is a small white border around the image. On the back of the photograph is handwritten in pencil "633" and in pen "Ted & Buster"

Item is a pink card with photograph of a woman in striped blouse and white scarf. The image has an oval shape, visible at the corners of the photograph, but the photograph has been cropped in. It was probably meant for a larger, possibly cabinet card mount, but the woman's style of dress is still close in date to the mount style, about mid-1880s.

Item is in a cream coloured card-frame embossed opening, with embossed letters "Potter's Patent March 7 1865." Which is how we dated the tintype. Photograph is a studio portrait of two women, both seated, arms resting on the one armrest with fringes. Woman on right is dressed all in black, with black hat and veil - perhaps mourning wear. The woman on the left is in full skirt with black trim and black top, white collar and black hat. Both have pink tinted cheeks.

They are wearing fitted dresses with skirts looping in front, narrow sleeves and high collars, most wear a brooch at the throat. Style is suggestive of 1880s fashion. Hair is up, with curled bangs. All four corners of tintype are angled off.
