Records pertaining to inspections, insurance, and safety compliance

File includes correspondence, inspection reports, and technical drawings related to plant safety and risk assessment from 1913 to 1940. Correspondents include: Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd., Eastman Kodak Company, the Bureau of Explosives (Toronto), various contractors, the Mount Dennis Volunteer Fire Department, and the Associated Factory Mutual Fire Insurance Companies. This latter company performed detailed inspections for insurance purposes on Kodak Heights buildings before and during construction. Topics include: outfitting Kodak Heights with sprinkler systems, fire alarms, water supplies and oxygen masks, storage and handling of magnesium and its alloys, and storage and transport of cellulose nitrate film. File also includes a preliminary inspector's report on the fire that occurred in Building #3 of Kodak Heights on November 17, 1914.

History of the building for the School of Interior Design formerly called the Anthony Foster building

Research report prepared in 1985 by project co-ordinator George Kleiser documenting the architectural history of the renovated Anthony Foster Building occupied by Ryerson's School of Interior Design. An updated and final report `History of the Building for the School of Interior Design formerly called the Anthony Foster Building was prepared in 1987.

Periodic review and evaluation of undergraduate programs

Two copies of the Report are contained in this sub-series, with a covering letter from Errol Aspevig, Chair of the Program Review Committee, to Dennis Mock, Vice-President Academic. The Report was included in the Agenda for the May 6, 1996 meeting of Academic Council.One copy of Academic Council Policy No. 126, "Periodic Program Review of Undergraduate Programs", dated and approved April 5, 2005.

The Committee on Applied Research at Ryerson was established by the Academic Council (later called the Senate) to review examine the benefits and negatives of applied research, look at other university research as reported in the media, and make recommenations for Ryerson to proceed. The report is dated November 6, 1979.

"Characteristics of ICE Questionnaires in the Ryerson Environment" was prepared by Dr. John Roth of the Psychology Department and submitted to the ICE Committee of Academic Council in May 1983. The aim of the report was to examine the feasibility of developing a reliable and valid student questionnaire to be used for instructor and course evaluations and to develop such an instrument should it prove feasible.

On-Line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) users survey

The file contains a draft report and blank survey on, On-line Public Access Catalogues (OPACs) in which five southern Ontario universities participated, The purpose, to measure user satisfaction of each university's computerized catalogue system. The survey was conducted by the University of Toronto. Ryerson's catalogue at the time was DOBIS, which ran on computer terminals.
