Fleming report: the history of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute

File contains chapter XIII, "the role of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in the post-war period leading up to and including 1969" of a comprehensive report on the development of education in Ontario in the 1960s, for the Minister of Education, the Honourable William Davis. Also contains correspondence and supporting documentation.

"Alcohol and Ryerson - A Review" report

A review of Ryerson's alcohol policies and procedures with draft resolutions for changes. The report followed the coroner's inquest recommendations stemming from the accidental death of a high school student at the ferry docks after attending the Ryerson Picnic at the Toronto Islands.

The report, authored by Gail M. Scott and Ron Taber, is a review of Ryerson's alcohol policies and procedures with draft resolutions for changes. Graduate survey

Report of a survey outlining the employment status and activities of Ryerson day school graduates. The survey was produced on a yearly basis from 1979 to 1984 and then discontinued until efforts were made to revive it in 1987. Difficulties arose, however, and the survey was not published. The next survey, conducted in 1989, was published in the summer of 1990. The most recent survey was done in 1996 by the Office of University Advancement and has been arranged under the Office of University Advancement RG 395.74. Access to the 1996 survey is restricted.

Annual reports and financial statements

Files contain copies of the annual report and audited financial statements for Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and Ryerson Polytechnical University.
The annual reports are distributed across three record groups - dependent on which department was responsible for their printing. Their organization is as follows:

RG 122.03 1987-1994
RG 395.17 1994-1996

After 1996 the university stopped publishing an annual report in this format.

Proposal and reports to organizational reform going into the 1980s

Ryerson's Board of Governors engaged Hickling-Johnston Limited in April 1979 to recommend an appropriate overall organizational structure enabling Ryerson to operate successfully in the 1980s.
