Also includes: publicity and public relations records related to plant open houses; records pertaining to Kodak Heights' use as military barracks in WWI; engineering field notes compiled during Kodak Heights construction; records pertaining to the opening of the Kodak processing laboratory in Vancouver, as well as plant procedures and engineering codes.

File contains correspondence, pamphlets, and photocopied articles pertaining to the history of Kodak Heights building #18. The building was purchased from Moore Business Forms by Kodak Canada in 1981 and housed Kodak's engineering offices from that date until its demolition in 1987 as part of the Toronto Expansion Program (TEP).

Records pertaining to the Kodak Canada Toronto Expansion Program

File contains records pertaining to the Kodak Canada "Toronto Expansion Program" (TEP). Instigated in 1986, the program involved the closure of Kodak Canada's Brampton facilities and the expansion of its facilites at Kodak Heights. File includes the TEP internal newsletter from August 1986 to October 1987, photocopies of news clippings posted to the internal TEP bulletin board, and a draft document overviewing the history of the program.

Posters and Signage

Series contains posters and signs from Kodak Canada Ltd. Most posters are reproductions of the original Eastman Kodak advertisements on foamcore boards for the purposes of display in the Kodak Heritage Museum. Objects originally intended for the Kodak Heritage Museum have been indicated in the notes field of the record. Subjects include: promotional posters from Kodak's The Techniques of the Masters Videoconference Series, advertising campaigns and Kodak slogans printed on posters, historical images of Kodak cameras, and medical imaging posters from the Health Sciences Division of Eastman Kodak Company. Also included are a group of large-scale foamcore posters of Kodak Heights operations reproduced from glass plate negatives in the collection.

Photograph album contains images of various Kodak Heights subjects including: recreational activities including baseball, lawn ball; company field trips, election campaigns for the Board of Governors and the K.A.A. Governorship; rallying support for WWI soldiers and campaigns for victory bonds. Includes a portrait of John G. Palmer (d. 1921), who acted as Canadian Kodak Co.'s first President and General Manager from 1918 to 1921.

Album contains gelatin silver prints mounted on black cardboard inserts. Below each image is a handwritten caption including the subject and date. The images are landscape views of the Kodak Heights property circa 1913 during initial preparations for construction, specifically documenting the wells. Includes several images taken in 1921 of the 4th well, a Kodak building can be seen in the background.

Also includes a detailed letter regarding paper drying systems at various Kodak plants, a discussion pertinent to the company's window installation schedule. Correspondents include Canadian Kodak Co., Ltd., Eastman Kodak Company, National Skylight and Ventilation Co. (Rochester), The A.B. Ormsby Company, Ltd. (Toronto), Steel & Radiation, Ltd. (Toronto), Architectural Bronze & Irons Works (Toronto), and Associated Factory Mutual Fire Insurance Companies.

Records pertaining to C.E. Deakin Company Ltd. contracts

File contains correspondents and construction schedules pertaining to contracts completed by the C.E. Deakin Company, Ltd. of Mount Dennis, Ontario from 1914 to 1916. The company was contracted to perform a number of tasks in the construction of Kodak Heights, including work on the Power house (building #1) and the railway trestle. File includes correspondence with the Canadian Inspection & Testing Laboratories, which performed testing on cement used by the C.E. Deakin, as well as with T. Pringle & Sons, which appears to have collaborated with C.E. Deakin on at least one contract.
