UK and Canada album

Item is an album containing photographs of Canada and the UK. Item has a black cloth cover bound with red string. Notations are handwritten in ink and pencil.
Canadian locations include: Lake Manitoba, Lake Champlain, St. Lawrence river, Port Stanley, Quebec. UK locations include: Manchester Ship Canal, Liverpool, New Brighton, Chester, Wallasey, Bidston.
Two photographs dated 1905.
Themes include: ships, boats, sailing, fishing, S.S. Dominion, Campania, family photographs, mountainous landscapes, trains, early motorcycle, horses as transportation.

People and boats album

No cover. Item consists of the insidess of an album, spine in poor condition but in tact. Photographs are inserted under cut-out windows on the page. Many photographs missing. Very little handwritten notations; some on back of loose photographs.

Majority of photographs are portraits; a few photographs of boats. Some loose tintypes and photographs mounted on cards.

Dates include May 20th, 1902; 1908. Photo studios include Fredericks Art Photography, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Richard S. Baxter, N.Y.C.

Port Cunnington Album

Green cover album bound by white by white braided string. Black pages, photos held inwith clear photo corners. Handwritten notations in white pencil. Interleaving with spider web design between each page.

Portrait of a young girl with canoe

Item is a cream card with gold letterpress at the bottom edge reading "Barraud Bros. BARRIE, ONT." Photograph is a full length portrait of a girl holding a puruse and standing in front of a scenic backdrop showing a river and trees. The edge of a canoe is visible on the left and a pile of hay and dried leaves on the right.

[Sunbeam boat]

Cyanotype image of a boat with the name Sunbeam. Boat is docked in a river, with a group of men (facing away from camera) out front, and another woman in the background. Boat is two levels, looks like there are people on top level. Wood cabins on opposite shore in background. Very thin paper.

Une Voyage Commence

Item consists of a toned black and white photograph of a group of men and women on a sailboat. Five women dressed in long skirts and three men in turtlenecks or ties stand and sit on one end of the boat, posing for the photographer. In the foreground, a boy is turned away from the camera, looking at the group. He is wearing a hat and has his sleeves rolled up. The boat seems to tilt sharply to the left. On the back of the photograph is handwritten in pen "Une Voyage Commence" which is French, and translates to "a trip / journey begins".

Miscellaneous album

Item consists of an album that is beige with a linear, green, geometric design and brown tape along the spine. It is held together with black string. Pages are green. Photographs are loose. Other loose accompanying material includes ink, pencil and colour sketches, various postcards.

Most photographs are from Toronto, Ontario. 1 photograph shows the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir at the Peace Festival in 1919. There is a publication with a Plan of York Minster Sh3wing the Architectural Styles from 1931. 1 photograph of Sir Geo Scott Roberston, M.P.

Locations include: Hamilton, Ontario; New York City, New York; Boston Massachusetts; Bradford, England; York, England; and Yorkshire, England.

Dates include: 1906, 1907, 1908, 1912, 1926, 1931.

California, Victoria B.C.

Six gelatin silver prints on either side of a cardboard mount. Images of the parliament building in Victoria, B.C, loggers, Beacon Hill Park Victoria, B.C., an onion farm, a sweet pea farm and a harbor. Inscriptions in pen read, 'Onion Farm, California, Sweet Pea Farm'. Inscriptions in pencil read '$50 - 23' and 'SITA'.

Mounted image of steam boat. Inscription in ink on envelope that was originally holding object reads, 'Quebec early 1900's $10.00' Inscription in pencil on back of mount reads, '$10.00'

Greeting Card
