Series contains materials related to the DMZ, a business incubator and co-working space for technology-based entrepreneurs with a mandate to help startups succeed by connecting them with customers, advisors, influencers and other entrepreneurs.

Based in offices in the Dundas Square building at Ryerson University, the Zone is run by students and open to both students and non-students to apply with business ideas and prototypes. Accepted startups receive four months of free co-working space and services (after which they can pay a membership fee to stay on), and access to seed funding and an accelerator program through Ryerson Futures Inc. (RFI), a for-profit business associated with Ryerson. The DMZ also offers an "Innovation-for-Hire" program that laccesses expertise associated with the DMZ and Ryerson University to solve real business problems for industry partners as well as an intrapreneur program.

As of April 2014, the DMZ was home to 62 startups and a group of 75 alumni startups. The companies incubating at the DMZ reflected a mix of Ryerson-affiliated startups and non-Ryerson affiliates.

The DMZ was the first of an network of other "zones" at the University, each specializing in growth sectors to support new entrepreneurs.

Series contains cameras that are designed to capture images using sensors and digital storage media instead of film, as well as pre-digital cameras that combined digital technology with film.
The digital camera replaced the traditional film camera in all but a few niche markets very quickly; as of the beginning of the 21st century, all amateur and most professional photogrpahy now takes place in the digital format. These early cameras track the rapid increase of image quality and camera optinos avilable to the consumer.

The file contains audio visual records pertaining to three sessions in the context of business. Sessions entitled, CEO Outlook Session One, Two, and Three.

Series consists of biographical films about Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (1870-1924), leader of the Soviet Union and father of Communism. These films were created and produced in the Russian Soviet State and reflect the ideals of the state and the popular interpretation of Lenin's life and work. The 17 film reels make up the following 4 movies: "Lenin is alive" (1969), "Lenin: pages of the biography" (1969), "Gorki Leninskie" (1984), "Lenin documents, facts, recollections" (1969). A DVD was added to the collection in 2010 that depicts the public speeches and demonstrations taking place in Vilnius, Lithuania during the dissolution of the Lithuanian Soviet State, including the tearing down of a statue of Lenin in the city centre.

The scale model was researched and constructed by Architecture students Robert Smith, Richard Zoltek and Ed Nicoluccci under the supervision of the faculty member, Bob Greenberg. The model was a highlight of the Ryerson Archives’ Ontario Bicentennial display held in the Olive Baker Lounge in October, 1984. From 1980 to 1995, the model was on display in the lobby of the 13th floor in Jorgenson Hall. The model was removed to the Archives in January, 1995, while the display case/unit and the ‘landscaping base’ were sent to the School of Architecture. The latter was transferred to the Archives in March, 1996.

Series contains scrapbooks and photographic prints detailing Ryerson School of Fashion graduate Donald Campbell's career in fashion.

This series contains cameras designed for use with commercially manufactured dry plate negatives. Produced between about 1880 and 1900, these cameras began to be marketed to amateur photographers due to the relative ease of using dry plates. Exposure times shortened, necessitating faster shutters, within the lens or camera. The equipment also became more compact, allowing for hand-held photographs.

The Early Childhood Education building was located at 112-114 Bond Street.

This series consists of original and duplicate early cameras from the beginning of the history of photography. Based on the basic design of the camera obscura and produced between about 1820 and 1870, these simple devices were usually solid or sliding box cameras with uncomplicated lenses. The shutter was normally outside of the lens, in the form of a lens cap that was simple removed and replaced for exposure, or a rotating metal plate on the front of the lens, which held the aperture. These cameras mainly predated dry plate and flexible film photography, and were used to take Daguerreotype, wet-plate and salted paper photographs.

The Eaton School of Retailing was a corporate entity with the T. Eaton Company Ltd and delivered corporate education within the company. The partnership with Ryerson was away for them to develop and deliver university level courses to Eaton's employees. The first phase of the program was certificates in Retail and Services Management I and II.

Series consists of copies of the FORUM newsletter published by the Office of Information Services. They were published on the calendar year, each new volume starting in September. Topics included Ryerson-specific news, staffing updates and staff and alumni notices. This series contains Volume's 1 - 12.
The final hard copy edition of the FORUM was published October 2005 - moving to an electronic format with its next issue. It was replaced by an online email newsletter Ryerson Today, on October 19, 2009.

Over the years, the FORUM newsletter was published weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-weekly, and, finally only six issues per year. The October 2005 issue was the last hard copy and a solely digital format was was released with the next print in 2006. Tthe FORUM was discontinued in 2009 and replaced with a new newsletter, Ryerson Today, on October 19, 2009 distributed via email notification and a link to the webpage. This series contains volumes 20 - 30 and then newsletters from 2006-2008.
